.308 125 gr. Corbon - Very good

I had struggled to find some ammo that my rifle liked. I do understand that every rifle likes a certain kind of ammo to be accurate. Since I have the Savage 10FP 1:10 twist barrel, I struggled to find ammo that was 150 gr. and lower. Ammo that was descent and that my rifle liked. I was about to think that the rifle need accurizing when I came up on some Corbon .308 125 grain.

Shot it today and had three three shot groups that measured 3/4", 1/2" and 1/8" respectively at 100 yds.

Anybody know of any other ammo 150 gr. and lighter that you would recommend?

thanks,

I have an M40A3 in .308 with a 1 in 10 inch Hart barrel. It loves Sierra 168 gr. HPBTs and also the 175 gr. Sierra HPBTs. I have fired 5 shot groups at 1000 yards that are not much wider than the length of a dollar bill. Don't focus too much on the lighter bullet weights, some of the heavier ones may shoot very well.

If you are wanting loads for hunting and don't reload see if Federal has any loadings that use the 165 grain Sierra SBT game king bullets. I tried some in my Tikka .300 WSM and got 3 shots groups of well under an inch at 100 yards with that bullet.

I have shot the much touted Federal Gold Match rounds (168 gr.) and have had more than poor results. I just can't figure it.
