Sorry guys I forgot my video camera today,

I took the load that shot the best at 207 yards and loaded some more up and took it right out to 1038 yards.
It took 8.6 mil to get there. The wind was blowing a bit, I dailed .3 mil and was still all over the target. But the elevation spread looks promising

These 155 SMK PALMA's are sitting in Winchester brass with a CCI 200 primer, being pushed with 46.5 gr Varget powder going 3030 FPS

any idea what type of velocity you've got at those distances? I shoot my remington 700 in .308 out to 600 yards, but don't have much faith in it or myself beyond that distance.

regardless, congratulations on hitting steel at that distance. remarkable.

What's your barrel length and brand/type? That just sounds quite fast for a .308, but I have a suspicion you're using a 30" Lilja or something like that.

1) The rifle looks awesome.
2) What chassis is that?
3) When I run all your numbers in a ballistic computer I get a ridiculously close match (a 0.2 mil difference in required elevation). I'm sure this won't surprise you, but it's cool when the numbers add up to a real-world result.

Clayne_b:
The late Chris Kyle in "American Sniper" seems to have used very similar rifles for the record number of sniper kills.
The were the Lapua and 300 Win Mag (?).
