if getting into the "bubble" is such a challenge...perhaps its the real issue....not how many rounds you have ina bolt action
I have no problem getting in to the bubble, and to suggest otherwise is insulting and somewhat asinine.
Wasted time is wasted time.
If you go "off gun" to load ammo, in that time, winds can shift, you have to get the gun and body settled in to the usual firing position, adjust clothing that's shifted and/or bound up, and so on. Still, just a convenience to have the ammo. Doesn't stop you from putting together a great group.
So, now I think I see where you're going with this argument, so let's just cut to the chase and get it out in the open.
Some might say that magazine capacity doesn't matter for paper targets or silhouettes, when you have "all day" to spend at the range. And it sure as heck don't matter for hunting, because if you need more than one follow up shot, you shouldn't be hunting in the first place.
Bottom line is this - Saying "what's the point" to 10 rounds in a bolt action is like saying "what's the point" to 30 rounds in an AR15.
I mean, only Law Enforcement would EVER have a need for such a thing. Certainly hunters and sportsman would never need a higher capacity magazine in a bolt action rifle. Nor, for that matter, should any rifles NEED a magazine whatsoever. You can single load them and shoot paper just fine.
Same argument applies as that which applies to standard capacity magazines or drum magazines or belt fed weapons.
Not everyone will grab an evil black assault rifle and (8) 30-round standard magazines if the end of modern society as we know it ever comes. Some might just grab a Barrett M95 or 338 Lapua or 300 Win Mag or ... whatever.
Anyway ... arguing the "WHY" of why it's necessary is pointless. Because the OP *wants* one. That's all the argument we need to consider.
He wants a bolt action rifle that holds 10 rounds. That's his requirement, and why he wants it - quite frankly - is none of OUR business. He's made up his mind, and that choice is one we should respect.
