308 Rifles?

The Weaver sure grip windage adjustable rings seem good, though a 50mm scope mounted on this rifle, I suspect I'll need X-High not High rings. I've been looking at (http://www.weaver-mounts.com/products/detachableTopMount.aspx), anybody agree I'll need the x-high?

Reloder 15 is my choice of powder.....Varget is also popular.

I use Varget, made by Hogden. It happens to shoot well in my .223 with 68gr JHP and in my .308 with 165gr JSP.

I might be able to tighten up my groups with my .308 by switching powders, but a shade under MOA is good enough and I don't like having a dozen different powders laying around. I use one powder (Varget) for rifle and one (Red Dot) for .45acp and 12ga.

Probably going to use the Choate ULTIMATE VARMINT STOCK for this, seems like a good stock. A little heavy, but this is a bench rifle!
