hey guys, does anybody know where i could find a .308/7.62x51mm upper for a stag model 3 or perhapse a 6.8 would be fine too. and if so, which of the too is more accurate/ appropriate for common game in ny? (white tail, coyote, etc.) thanks!:)

You won't be able to fit or find a 308 upper for a Stag Model 3.
A 6.8 SPC upper you can fit though and will take those animals just fine.

No such thing.

The Stag Model 3 is a .223/5.56 rifle.

A .308 magazine or upper will not fit or work on any .223 lower.

You can get a 6.8 upper from several sources including Stag, as it is a smaller shorter round designed to work in a .223 size action.

If you want a .308, you need to start out with an AR-10 size lower designed to be big enough for it to fit.

BTW: The .223 is probably as good or better coyote caliber then the 6.8.

thanks guys, i will probably end up getting a 6.8 in the future. or wait for the .50 beowolf to become more widely available on the civi market

Don't hold you breath waiting.

You most likely will turn blue and die before that happens.
