I acquired a .32 caliber pistol (Seecamp LWS 32) and have had difficulty finding ammo that will work in this gun. According to the Seecamp website, this pistol will only work with .32 caliber JHPs, which have been unavailable. The issue with ammo seems to be the overall length of the round, which cannot exceed 0.910 inches.

I did find some Lehigh defense .311 Xtreme Cavitator 50gr bullets a few months ago and my friend and I loaded some of these bullets using Unique at 3.0 grains (per recommendations on the Lehigh Defense website), and seated to under the recommended COL of .945 inches in order that they cycle in the gun. These bullets worked fine, and the gun did not blow up, but these bullets are now out of stock everywhere.

This is from the Seecamp website:
Even a severely reduced load will cycle the LWS.32 action and a double
load will not hurt it. The barrel is too short for a bullet to get stuck ~ a
primer alone will launch the bullet ~ and the gun is strong enough to
survive a proof load. (I have had guns cycle and feed the next round on
just a primer load.)

I was able to get my hands on a few discontinued .312 caliber Hornady XTP jhps in 60 grains, and have been looking around for some load data. Apparently both Sierra and Hornady have discontinued production of the 60 grain jhp bullets in .312 caliber, and I have found no other sources. I am looking for suggestions or options to use in this pistol.

2.2 grains of Bullseye, Red Dot, W231/HP38, IMR 700X, AA#2, or Unique will put you safely in the 850fps ballpark, even with a slightly too deep seating. I suggest looking into a flat nose jacketed bullet the same OAL as the Silvertip the Seecamp was designed to shoot.

I am a 32 acp junky, as weird as that is. My standard plinking load is 71 gr berry's plated over 2 grains of titegroup, at just under the max OAL for the cartridge. 32 acp likes to be long, prevents rim locking.
That load runs and functions in: Tomcat Covert, Keltec P32, VZ61 Skorpion, CZ50, CZ27.

I've also played around with the Lehighs, and load those over BE86 or Titegroup. I load them just slightly longer than the Lehigh load data. I've only ran them in the Keltec and the Tomcat Covert.

Others have assumed 32ACP, but why don't you tell us explicitly.
Yes, it is a .32 acp.... the Seecamp LWS 32.

Great information here, and I appreciate everyone's input. Now I need to find some jacketed bullets that I can seat to a COL of .910 inches.

"Weird"? Oh.... now I need to post pictures of my .32 HSc and FEG P-37. :)

I am always down for some .32 gun porn! Post them up! BTW, the weird comment was more due to the fact that .32 acp doesn't get much love, but for whatever reason, I ended up with a lot of them, and it's become one of my favorite calibers to load for. Here's a few of mine.

Try Missouri Bullet Company. Their big coated 32 caliber bullets will run in most US .32's, if you're loading US brass. Euro brass, you'll get bullet bulge, and some of the euro 32's have a tighter chamber. Also, if you can find a Lee 32 S&W FCD, it will work for 32 acp. Lee also has a "custom" FCD for 32 acp that they will sell you if you call them, it seems to be the same die. You can roll crimp 32 acp, as it head spaces on rim, so taper crimp isn't required. FYI, Unique Tech has a 32 acp case guage, which is helpful if you are loading for a variety of guns.

Love those “Lady Fingers” you got loaded for that .32L.

Yeah, Im weird for 32’s also...
I’ve two S&W Hand ejectors, a Keltec, Ruger S-7, Beretta M81, and a Taurus Mod-76 .32mag. Should throw in the Ruger BlackHawk in .30Carbine, too...

My Tokarev has a .312 barrel so I'm in a similar predicament for projectiles. All 32cal bullets seem to be unobtainum at the moment but I have have done some horse tradeing for XTP 85gr and 100gr. I stopped in a small local store a couple weeks back and there was a dusty box of XTP 60gr I grabbed, but not too sure they will work for me. Too many other things in the way right now...

Because of the speed and pressure involved I don't think these will be suitable, but Berrys makes a 71gr RNCP . Badman makes a 78gr Poly coated, I don't know but the gas check groove may be a problem. a few others also make various cast and coated. That and also with any auto loader the soft lead might pose a problem feeding.

I have shot a boatload of 71 grain FNJ RN and flat flat nose ammo through my Seecamp

Plated Berrys and others. Factory ammo includes Win white box/

.32 ACP (personal preferences)
We recommend the following ammunition:

Winchester Silvertip 60gr. HP
      • Federal Premium Hydra Shok 65gr. JHP
      • Speer Gold Dot 60gr. GDHP
      • PMC Bronze 60gr. JHP
