Hornady has had it listed in their product lineup for a year now, but still haven't actually produced any. I got an email response and they said that they're first and only run for the year is scheduled for September. Yeah right, earlier this year they said it was scheduled for May. Just thought I'd share this with anybody else who was hoping to try this stuff out in their .32. I plan on actually hunting with my old 94 for the first time this fall, so I was hoping to try out the new ammo, but oh well, the way I shoot I'm sure I wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway :neener: Are all of the current 170gr soft nose offerings pretty much the same?

Probably waiting on someone (Marlin?, maybe Mossberg??) to release a rifle in that caliber...Maybe.

I don't see that happening anytime soon. It's long been dead and doesn't really offer anything special over the .30-.30.

I'm also amazed that they're even considering a new .32 Winchester Spl. round. IIRC, no new rifles have been produced in this caliber for at least 30 years.

Also IIRC, the main attraction for many folks that the cartridge had over the .30-30 back when it was new was that it could be reloaded with BP, semi-smokeless or smokeless without losing anything much ballisticly.

Forgot where I read that, but believe that it was in an old volume of "Cartridges of the World".
