Finally shot the little beastie after it languished in my closet since August. An awesome weapon. Gold Dot 44 Specials are a breeze, as are target load 44 mags. Shot a few cylinders of heavy loaded 240g XTPS. They are tolerable and controlable, but not something you are going to shoot two boxes of at one sitting. Didn't have any other loads on hand to try, will have to fire up the Dillon after the holidays. The factory sights were not well regulated from the factory, shot seriously to the left with all loads. This is my first gun with fiber optic sights. They are very cool. Carried the 329 in my coat pocket while deer hunting the past three days and brought it out several times in the failing light. Regular iron sights on my Marlin were almost unusable, but that fiber sight on the Smith glowed like a laser. It would be nice to find a decent CCW holster for this thing. Anyone suggest one? Will probably go with Don Hume, seems like they offer a decent product at a good price.

Dillon Precision sells a Kramer holster for 4" N-frames:

Price is $75.95. See here for details. It has room for a full-underlug barrel, but that should work OK with your short-underlug 329.

Another interesting option is the "Tom Threepersons" holster from El Paso Saddlery (which would be my first choice). See here for details. It's only $58.
