Is there any practical value of getting a 360PD over a 337PD if I'm only going to be shooting .38's out of it (not to include resale since I'll be keeping it)? Thanks.
Al, my friend, I believe the 360 is a J frame made out of Scandium with titanium parts, not a 7 shooter, although I may be wrong. However, the last time I thought I was wrong, I was mistaken.
The two guns are basically equivalent except for the scandium one is chambered for 357 Magnum. Either one will fire 38s. The scandium gun only weighs about 11 oz, IIRC. That's hardly as much as five rounds of ammo. HTH
Even though the .38 is rated for +P ammo, I imagine that in time, it will loosen up. The .357 ought to thrive on a steady diet of +P, and you still have the option of using magnums. (And there's some lighter .357 ammo on the market, sort of a ".357-P" which may be worth taking a look at.)
