.35 Rem Load Discrepancies

I would cross with the propellant manufacturer about this. Also the propellants are not listed on each other source. They are not going to run at the same velocity. They have a max pressure curve they have to adhere to for safe use. Your 35 REM is most likely a lever gun and overpressure will cause problems over time if used repeatedly.

Definitely a misprint.
This is the correct page from my #8 edition.

Even the .358win, .350RemMag, nor .35Whelen velocities go that high.

But that .35Rem data from Hornady and Hodgdon is “tepid”. It’s held to 34,000psi.
The Marlin M336 will handle upwards of 42,000psi.
My loads are such and net 2,250fpswith a 200gr bullet. (H4895 and LVR).

Generally, 35 Rem loads are made to work in Rem 8/81, Rem 14/141 rifles first. These are rifles designed for the lower pressures.

33,500 is SAAMI.

35 Rem rifles such as Remington 760/7600, Savage 170, and Marlin 336 can all stand higher pressures as well as the few bolt action rifles and handguns. TC break actions are usually on the Contender receiver and probably should also be kept closer to SAAMI.

Significant improvements in both accuracy and velocity can be achieved with careful hand loading of 35 Rem into appropriate rifles.

XP-100 hand gun shooters can achieve sub-MOA accuracy with a fire formed case and carefully tuned seating depths.

Exactly. I have one of the few bolt action rifles, a Remington 600, and I can only say for my rifle but it is most accurate with the same loads as every other Remington 35 I’ve owned. Model 81 pressure and typical soft points work best.
