Got this from somewhere - can't remember where cause I am having a senior moment: Winchester 357 magnum 145 gr silvertip HP.
From four inch vented barrel.
Muzzle - 1290fps - 535 ftlbs
50 yds - 1150fps - 428 ftlbs
100 yds - 1060fps - 361 ftlbs
This isn't exactly what you want but it gives you an idea. Some folks will tell you that fps will be slower by about 50 for every inch the barrel is shortened.
Speer will soon deliver us 135 grain 357 magnum ammunition specifically designed for short barrel revolvers. Hopefully by early next month.

In your 640 the WW load, which by the way is my favorite in my SP 2.25", will do between 1150-1185. Depends on bbl/cyl gap and fit work on revolver.
I like this round as it is especially easy to shoot in a 357 Snubby compared to those 125 gr JHPs that are real nasty.
You want to be able to control the weapon so that you can make a quick follow up shot(s) if necessary and the Silvertip affords you that opportunity.
