357 Mag ID

You fellows (Brian) did such a great job of ID'ng my 38/44 I figured I'd give you a shot at another.
This is a 357 mag, 6" blue, appears to be an N frame, partridge front sight, and is serial number S 1012XX.
I suspect an M27 but it's not labeled as such.
Any info as to model and year of mfg would be appreciated.

Pre-27 if the top strap and barrel top are checked.

Pre-28 if the top strap and barrel top are not checked.

S1012xx? Off the top of my head about 51 but I did not check.
