.38 / .357 pump rifles / carbines?

As far as I know, there's only one out there on the used market - the IMI Timberwolf. So it's the best and the worst quality going.

I for one would love few things more than a short, light, handy pump .357 mag with 16" bbl - talk about a fast, low-recoiling, politically correct rifle. Great start for a "mare's leg" style gun, too.

No actually, Taurus SHOWS that they make one - they do not. They were going to, but evidently are not going to (unless they just recently changed). They are sticking to .45 colt only. Their website does show that long barrel version, but no carbine.

As for Beretta and Uberti, maybe - not sure.....

Evidently Uberti does offer this, but their "carbine" is 20", not a nice short 16". Beretta's Gold Rush pump .357 "carbine" is also 20" bbl.

I got this in an email from Kempf a few days ago: "We've been waiting for ages for the Taurus Thunderbolt Pump Action Rifle to come out in 38/357, but they are finally here!! We have all three finishes; Blue, Blue & Color Case, and Bright Stainless."

Bud's is showing them as in stock as well.
