I recently ordered some 150gr, heeled bullets from Gad for my 1901 New Army .38 LC Colts.

I've never loaded this type bullet before, and I don't know if there are any differences. Has anyone had any experience and/or can shed some light on techniques?

Those heeled bullets are why a .38 whatever is actually .357. I'm not going to do an elaborate discourse on this, too late and I'm tired. I'm sure somebody less tired than I will tell you it's the bullet weight and not the diameter is the important characteristic.

Excellent info, Funnel, especially the first article. I was concerned about seating the bullet satisfactorily, but it looks fairly easy. I'll just have to watch the OAL in setting the depth.

The bullets are on order and I just received the crimp die from Old West.
