It isn’t that I’m never wrong, just that I try to keep mistakes limited to as few as possible.
Same with me. That's why I go with the most likely possibilities first before jumping off into some obscure choices. While I've done some valuations most of my identifications involved doing it for criminal cases where there was a lot more at stake than someone losing a few dollars.
Anyway, let it drop. You're the "expert". I know you like to be right.

Well I have testified in a few criminal cases too...

Best idea you've had so far... :)

Sorry for all the confusion guys, I was always a Semi Auto pistol man shooting military compitition. I guess I should have mentioned right from the start that Marcus Registradas is written under Made is USA.
Bob.

Oh, I don't know. It was my idea to inquire about the bobbed hammer instead of going off on a tangent. Guess even the "experts" lose sight of the ball on occasion and get out in left field without looking at the obvious.

Hello friends and neighbors// I agree with Terrier model 32, 2'',.38 s&w,5-shot

However the front sight was a 1/10'' serrated ''ramp'' and it had a ''square notch'' rear sight. Not blade and groove as described in post #8.

Don't like to be a fly in the ointment but...

content,
You're not looking early enough. What you posted is correct for the post war "pre-M32" Terrier and the Model 32. However the pre-war Terrier had a blade front sight and a grooved receiver with a square notch at the back.

In my opinion, most of this angst could be avoided with the posting of a picture and a serial number.
