I inherited from an Uncle a S&W 38 special CTG, SN V 233037. It has 4 inch barrell, dark metal finish, walnut grips. I would be grateful for any information.
The "V" prefix indicates a WWII "Victory" model of the M&P (later the Model 10). If it is all original with lanyard loop & grips as issued, it has a greater value than contemporary M&Ps.
