38 special headstamp SPOKANE PD

I got a bag of brass from someone at work. In there were a bunch of special head stanped 38 special brass stamped SPOKANE PD. is this something rare?

I got a bunch stamped LAPD. In the old days of the 38 revolver some larger agencies had fairly sophisticated reloading machines where the range ammo was produced.

Have 217 peices. Thought was pretty cool knowing who was shooting it.

I would imagine if you order enough of the stuff you can get any headstamp you want.

I recall that at one time the break was 100,000 pieces from Starline and they would make a custom headstamp.

Federal will also do custom headstamps. When we shot handgun silhouette, our brass said I.H.M.S.A. and had a ram on it.

Rare or not, I think it's pretty cool. I had no idea they'd do custom headstamps.
