i have a ppk and 1908's are old and expensive so anyone got any comparible pistols ,i know i like the older ones

Best size, Ruger LCP/Kel Tec P3AT. Bersa 380s have great net reps. Nothing wrong with a Makarov, good guns for low prices. You can find 'em in .380, but I'd prefer 9mm Mak. Bersa is pretty close to a PPK, actually, in size and use. Try a Mak, good price, and my son-in-laws is very accurate. I wanna get one, but they seem a little rare in the shops around here. I shoulda got one years ago when they were practically givin' 'em away.

I'll second the vote for a Bersa CC model.
It's a far cry from the most expensive firearm in my stable, but it still remains one of my favorites.
It's got the right combination of size and weight, coupled with total reliability.
Good stuff.

Personally im not a fan of the bersa,ive been looking how much do the old browning 1910/1955's run for,its more of what im looking for ,im more for the older .380's not the newer ones if anyone could help me it would be appreciated

I would say go for a Sig p232 or a used p230. I've had a few over the years and I just love them so much more than the PPK, plus... its my understanding that PPKs have some issues feeding hollowpoints out of the box. But I can't say for sure, I've only put FMJ through mine.

Those pistols are HUGE! I have two CZ82's and I had thought that the Berettas were smaller than the CZ but now I know better. Sheesh, what's the point of a small caliber if the pistol is as big as a 9mm?
I have a very nice Colt 1903/08 in .380 that is so nice to carry. The slide is .760" wide, and the widest part of the grip measures 1.10". Beautifully reliable pistol too if fed FMJ, and it's my 'run to the store' gun in the daytime when I really don't expect to need it.

thank you krs you actually showed me something i wanted to hear...gosh everyone dodges what i say and advises all these new guns that i dont like very well anyway thanks if i run across a deal i might buy a colt 1908 or a browning 1910 they are both around the same design though i like the colt more i have a ppk so i dont need another .380 really ,but ah im in the mood,also the .380 ppk/s interarms works just fine just dont put cheap stuff through it like blazers ,and you will be fine

Can't go wrong with a Makarov. I vote for the PM, but as above, I'd go with 9x18Mak unless you have other pistols in .380 and want ammunition interchangeability. The Makarov round is comparable in cost and slightly more powerful, as I understand.

Even though the CZ is a much heavier pistol than the Colt, and even though the grip of the CZ is wide and quite comfortable to hold, the felt recoil from the CZ using Makarov ammo was considerably heavier than that from the Colt.
By all that's comparable in pistols if the two loadings were equally powerful then either the Colt felt recoil would be much heavier or the CZ felt recoil much lighter than the other pistol.
So I will say again, as I've said many times before, a Makarov ain't no .380! It's closer akin to a 9mm Luger cartridge than to a US made .380 cartridge.
I will admit to a certain bias. I own six handguns chambered for the 9x18 MAK cartridge, but only three in the .380. My other two .380's are a pretty little Llama and a Keltec 3pat. (the Keltec is the most miserably painful pistol to shoot I've ever experienced and I used to hunt hogs with a 5" .44 magnum loaded hot with 300 grain hollowpoints.
(I'm happy to have 12 acres here and I shoot pistols whenever I want right from my back kitchen door. This is a goal I can recommend wholeheartedly - get yerself a big enough piece of ground on county land so that you're immune from all the silly ideas of city council people)

i dont know im kinda wanting something more like the old colt 1908/1903 in .380 i just kind fiind nothing like it all everyones dodging the point i dont like these real small mouse guns like the seecamp and such

The Remington 51 was a Patton favorite, and if I could find a 1908 for a reasonable price and in good condition I'd go for it regardless of it's age. Heck, I already trust my life to a design that's almost a century old anyway for my fullsize pistol...
