Anybody have any opinions on the SCCY CPX2?

Last year I bought a NIB CPX-2 and have run about 250 rounds through it, no failures no problems. All 124 grain, mostly FMJ, about 50 gold dots mix of standard and +P. It is very light weight and has a snappiness to it with +P (SCCY recommends low round counts of +P). Standard pressure seemed pretty tame to me for a 14 ounce gun.

The trigger is true DAO, being very long w/long reset and a bit heavy. I added some synthetic gun grease to the trigger group and it smoothed what was a little rough in spots out of box. The fit of slide to frame and barrel to slide is loose, but not outside expectations for an inexpensive 9mm. The slide is not difficult to rack. All of this you can feel in a shop.

Bottom line is it is a decent inexpensive hammer fired DAO 9mm. I carry it occasionally, it's easy to conceal and light for comfort.

Thanks for the reply.

Zing!!! Thank you sir.

I may have found my answer.

Anyone care to share there thoughts on the S&W BG? I'll be doing some research on this this afternoon.

No Problem.

Just a note. When I add the pinkly extension to my MP9c, that little extra does print slightly more than not having it. The one I linked in quite a bit bigger than the one for the MP9c.

There may be different versions for the Bodyguard, but I'm not sure.

I've never shot the bodyguard so I cant add much there other than I think it has a consistent, long trigger pull like a DAO revolver.

Anybody have any opinions on the SCCY CPX2? I know it's 9mm and hammer fired but the size and grip look quite appealing, as does the price. Research so far indicates overall positive comments.

I don't really want to start straying too far from .380's as that was the topic.

The CPX-3 is chambered in 380 and due out soon...

I've got a Beretta 84, Walther pk380, bersa thunder 380 and a sig 232, the sig would be my go to but they are treat me well, medium sized hands but I don't cc due to work

Well, after researching the S&W BG I'm not sold. Too many reviews out there of a light hammer, and I'm not fond of a 12lb pull personally. A shame because I was actually excited about that one and it's on sale right now for $299.

Next up I came across is the Kahr CT380. Just starting to research it but it looks promising. Full grip, striker fired and a 5-6lb pull. For a DAO that seems pretty nice. Anyone have any input on this one?

I really appreciate all of the responses from you guys thus far!

AFAIK, SIG doesn't make the P250 Compact in .380 -- only the Subcompact, which doesn't have what I would call a "full grip."

Glock 42 magazines are available with a factory extension, which for my medium-sized hands lets me get all my fingers on the grip. Pearce also makes an aftermarket extension, which may give you just a smidgen more. From top to bottom: no extension, Glock factory extension, Pearce extension.
