Has anyone else noticed that .380 ammo appears to be the best priced cartridge?

I remember not too long ago that 9mm was the best deal, but that doesn't seem to be true currently. Weird.

:confused::confused::confused:
What are you paying for each?

Yesterday, I saw 9mm Blazer Brass for less than $9.00/50 @ WalMart. .380 in any brand was $4-5 more per box.

I've never seen .380 cheaper than 9mm (other than surplus).

NO kidding, I've never seen .380 ammo less expensive than 9mm ammo. I reload ammo too, and that is the ONLY way I have seen .380 being less expensive than 9mm. (less powder, and less lead= cheaper to reload)

A few years ago I used to see the cheap stuff for $1 more per box than 9mm luger but not any more. You would think the influx of small .380's would mean more comparable prices but no. I guess it's the old supply and demand theory.

It may just be my locals marking it way up, but my local Bass Pro charges about $14 for their cheapest 9mm and $16 for their cheapest 380. At those prices, I save about $10 per box by reloading 380.

If 380 is cheaper than 9mm for you and 9mm is reasonably priced, then you have a good local place to buy ammo.

The 380 acp in my neck of the woods is priced much higher than 9mm - sometimes even higher than 40 S&W or 45acp

Around here I see .380 is usually around $4 more/box of 50 than 9mm. There never seems to be a shortage of it...
