I am looking for a concealment holster for my Ruger GP-100 with 4" barrel. I would prefer something that goes on the waistband. What do you use and how do you like it? I was looking at the Bianchi 5H as a possibility.

I use a galco Fletch to conceal my 4" GP100. It carries high, with much of the gun above the beltline. I can barely conceal that gun wearing nothing but shorts and an untucked t-shirt. It meets the legal def. of concealed, but if you aren't completely clueless, you can tell something's there. Works great for fall/winter/spring carry though.

Make sure you have a good belt though.

I have a 3" GP100 that carries very well in a Tucker "Texas Heritage" holster, with a Tucker belt.

This combination puts all of the gun except the grips lower than the belt, and pulls the grips into the waist very tightly. I think that it hides very well. The 3" bbl. is comfortable, but I don't know how the 4" would feel in this rig, but my guess is that this would work as well.

Isn't that what I said? I just pointed out how well it helps conceal the gun.

Sorry Chris, that came out wrong. What I was trying to say is I know there are others out there carrying this gun, what are they carring it in.

I just wasnt getting many responses :)
