40 S&W Federal brass?

plated or brass....not any different than other name brands. though plated often wears by the mouth or peals after 2 or 3 reloads.
 
Personally Federal pistol brass is one of my favorites. Never used nickel plated though.
 
I shoot mixed .40 brass thru my Glock 35 including Federal brass. I've not had any problem with Federal brass. It shoots and loads no different than any of the other brass I shoot with.
 
In most pistol calibers federal's good stuff, 40 included. In rifle calibers it's lacking quite a bit.

I picked up 2850 cases, after the cops finished shooting, at the range I belong to. All once fired through Glock 22’s.
 
btw...just be careful of brass fired thru glocks. they dont support the full case length and at time can be prone to head seperation and splitting at the bases. but 99 times out of 100 they are just fine.

oh and dont shoot mid to high pressure reloads in them! KABOOM!
