Can some of you check your books and or personal recipes for a .40sw load with WST? Two different bullets. 150-155 hp fmj. I have seen some differences that I am questioning? I have seen some personal recipes with a load of 7.0 gr? My books do show lower.

I see Lyman 49th has it at Lyman's .40 s&w and WST and WIN WSP primers
150 gr. Jacketed HP:
Starting: 5.5 grains, velocity 968, pressure 19,100
Maximum: 6.4 grains, velocity 1096, pressure 23,400

Lyman #49 used .401" groove diameter test barrel for 40S&W and tends to show higher powder charges than powder manufacturers' published load data. If your barrel's groove diameter is more typical .400", I would suggest you use the lower load data for your powder work up.

Here's Hodgdon load data - http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp
150 gr Nosler JHP WST OAL 1.125" Start 5.5 gr (1047 fps) 29,400 PSI - Max 5.8 gr (1088 fps) 32,300 PSI

155 gr Hornady XTP
WST OAL 1.125" Start 4.6 gr (957 fps) 25,400 PSI - Max 5.3 gr (1039 fps) 32,500 PSI
