Hi all;

A couple of months ago, I ran across a forum posting that mentioned an odd wildcat; some dude necked up a .408 CheyTac to accept a .50 caliber bullet (so it was kind of like the original .505 Gibbs round). It was claimed to get similar performance to the .50 BMG. When I Googled it at the time, it was made by some guy who seems to do a bunch of different fun wildcats.

For the life of me, though, I cannot remember what the particular chambering was called or whose creation it was. I've done some searches and I've checked my browser history, and can't find the website.

Does this chambering ring a bell to anybody? Does anybody know what this wildcat is called or who made it? I am just curious about it, and currently have no intention of making/buying/reloading for one (though it sounded like a viable alternative to the .50 BMG for those of us in K alifornistan).

Thanks for y'all's help.
