Yeah, the 215gr SWC kills them dead, I just wasn't getting blood trails. Hopefully the JHC's will anchor them quicker.

Seeing that my 58 is an S-serial, where does that put me?
 
Jcon72, just curious what bullet molds that you have. I have 2, an original H&G Keith Type SWC ( I think its a 258, too lazy to do look) and an Accurate mold in the same bullet. I searched long and hard for the H&G, finally gave up and ordered the Accurate mold and as luck would have it found the H&G.

You're in the penthouse. If you see Mark Mark lurking on the sidewalk make sure the doorman doesn't let him in, we have our standards.

In addition to the keys to the penthouse, you also get valet parking. A first-year production M57 or M58 would gain you unlimited access behind the green door.
Both my M57 and M58 are S prefix guns.

Sorry, no green door for you. The green door requires a Freedom Arms or stainless Marlin. There's still hope for you.

There are quite a few of them, but because I already have so many projectiles on the shelf there hasn't been any need to pour any of them yet.
I have Lyman (or Ideal) in 410026, 41027, (3) 41032's, 410610, and a couple of 410459's. A couple of RCBS in 41-210-SWC and 41-210-KT, and a NEI 6-cav 411-190. Also have a (brand new) rare, antique Ideal 2-cav combo mould with one cav being 410-426 and the other in 350-319. Not technically for .41 Mag, though. Those bullets are for .351 WSL and 401 WSL.

Yeah, I've been watching him from way up here where the air is thin. He keeps staring longingly at the revolving door but Security won't let him. The way he's acting a bit erraticly is starting to worry me a bit, too.

The relatively short original production is one of the reasons M58's are desirable, beside them being .41 Magnum. It's also the only revolver I can think of other than the M26 that did not have an engineering change during its entire run, so all of them are no-dash guns. However, the M26 is basically a unicorn.

There is a M58-1, but it is a reintroduction of the model well after it was discontinued, a part of S&W's Classic Series.

An older gentleman told me there were approximately 1,800 of the S-series model 58 made out of the total 20,000 production run, but I don't know how accurate that statement is.
