My dad has an old Stevens 410/22 over and under that is just what I would like to buy in a new shotgun. I have looked at gun shows etc for a couple of years to find someting similar to no avail (no he won't sell me his!). Thus I come here where the all knowing and endless help is abound! Anyone know of a 410/22 shotgun out there being produced now? Thanks for the help.

@ Milkmaster

My dad also had one of those 410/22 Stevens combos. I loved it, it was the first firearm I ever used. I hope you find one as nice as that (well it has nostalgic value for me).
Would be good to see pics of your dad's rifle, because I don't have any of the one we had.

A relative wanted to get one of those as a Christmas present for another family member, who had one as a boy but lost it in a house fire. The whole extended family looked for a good one (not beat up/worn out) for months, all over the southeast. Finally a cousin found one at a gun show in Mississippi. They aren't as available as a lot of things apparently- people who have 'em seem to hold on to them.

Hope you can find one you like,

lpl/nc (still happy with my Savage Model 24C Camper's Companion .22/20 ga., in the original takedown case)

I picked one up about 6 months ago for $200 from my local shop. He picked it up in an estate sale. I had been talking to him about 3 weeks prior about finding one. So as soon as he checked it out and cleaned it up he called me and said it would be waiting for me. It shows some wear but I'm sure it has shot a lot of birds and rabbits since it was born(1953).

By the way here is a link I found http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=64551069

Jerry,

I saw not one, but two of these today at the Wheaton Gun Show. They were asking $375 ea for them, both looked in pretty good shape, lots of character marks on the stocks and in need of a good cleaning. Obvious use, but they locked up tight and no pitting or other defects in the barrels. I sent you an e-mail and a PM with the vendor's info, BTW he is an FFL. HTH.

I've got one

It's in pretty good shape with the exception of a crack in the butt stock. Barrells are sparkling clean inside with most of the original blueing. I was thinking of putting it up for $150. Not sure yet.
