Thinking about a new .410 O/U for rabbit hunting. Just want a field grade hunting version. Nothing fancy, just bread and butter but built like a Swiss watch internally (no cheap unreliable parts) and prefer to stay under a $1,000.00 but would consider higher cost. Anyone have any suggestion?

No. They were a Japanese company that fell victim to the recession and closed up shop a couple years ago. The American importer purchased the IP and parts should not be a problem. They are well built solid guns that will last a lifetime with proper maintenance.

It depends on what fits you .....but if you're looking for one of the most durable O/U's on the market....look at the Browning Citori line of guns...the Lightning model is available in a .410 ..../ although new its going to cost you around $ 1,600 - $ 1,700 probably ...

I have a Citori XS Skeet model, 30" barrels, in .410 ...and while they were special orders, made on the 20ga frames, there are quite a few around / its a solid gun, if you find one.

Browning has also made the 525 and 625 series of the Citori in a .410 as well.../ every gun in the Citori line has the same durable barrel lockup system - and that's the weakest point on many other O/U's...but the internals, springs, firing pins, etc on the Citori are superior to many other O/U's on the market.....but Browning or Beretta will give you the most gun for your money in O/U's ..../ I'm just a Browning guy, because they fit me better.
