hello i have a .410 single shot shot gun 3 in chamber made by western field model #XNH-480 or a noble 70 pump. i am looking for any info about this gun. i can not find any other marks on it to id it. when was it made or how much it may be. it was sold in montgomery ward if that helps from what i could find online. also any idea how to take the barrel down?

The gun was made for Montgomery Ward by probably Savage, Stevens, Mossberg, or Noble.
Without some indication of a model or stock number it's hard to say which. Look on the barrel for more information.

The barrel should come off by simply pulling down on the front end of the forearm.
It will unsnap from the barrel hanger bracket, then you can open the gun and unhook the barrel from the receiver henge pin.

The XNH-480 is a pump, not a single shot. IIRC, the barrel is screwed into the receiver and is not designed to come off easily.
