Was able to get out and shoot my 629-3 Classic with 6 1/2" barrel today. The load I used is as follows. 6.9 grs Trail Boss
240 gr Nosler JSP
CCI 300 primer
Cases where some old Midway brass
I loved the feel and accuracy was very good. The reason I loaded jacked bullets is that's all I had. I was a little concerned about a squib with this light load of TB but had no problems at all. This is a picture of the backside of a treated 6x6 and the bullet I was able to remove with my fingers.

I recently used 3.5 grains of TB under a 125 grain HDY XTP in .38 in the Airweight J Frame (Mdl 442). This makes a very mild practice round, allowing a lengthy shooting session in the J frame. Followed by firing a cylinder of personal defense ammo to stay in touch with reality. Bottom line: TB is good stuff.

Almost anything loaded with Trail Boss is fun to shoot... Sometimes we don't need the big-boomers to have a good time.

That's what I use for my IDPA loads in .44 Spc! Great powder and nice, soft shooting loads under a 200 gr. LRN.
