.44 Mag Velocity Increase using Levergun instead of Revolver

300gr is the accepted cutoff for Marlin's slow 1-38" twist. My microgroove "S" model is superbly accurate with 270gr Gold Dots and 300gr XTP's are not far behind. Which is okay, because nothing heavier (read longer) will cycle through the action anyway. I've got some really long 330's and 355's I may try through one just to see how it does. Loaded directly into the chamber, one at a time, of course.
