hi there trying to get a little information on a revolver for a friend ( price ect.) i cant find out any thing about it anywhere .
here is all i can tell you that is on it j.p.sauer&sohn made in western Germany s/n10037/4
western marshal .44 mag hawes firearms co. Los Angeles,california i will post a few pictures trying to get info to help them sell it thanks.

Nice! The 1st .44 magnum I owned was a J.P. Sauer one just like that. That was back in the late 1960's or early 1970's I think.

It was a well made weapon and a great shooter. I ended up trading it even at a gun shop for a S&W 2" RB model 10.

What's it worth? I dunno.
 
A lot is going to depend on who takes notice. These revolvers are enjoying a mild resurgence; evidenced by folks like USFA introducing .44 Magnum models.
I find it ironic that Ruger, in its infinite wisdom, shrank the Vaquero to a size that can't support the .44 Mag precisely at a time when replica makers are reintroducing .44 Mag models.
