I am curious to know if other people have loaded this. I was using the new Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, and they listed a load for the Saeco 200 gr bullet from 21.0 to 23.2 of 2400. They say to use #2 alloy.

I am using the bullets from Dardas, which say they are BHN of 16. According to the internet, #2 alloy should be 15, so this is pretty close. Will I be ok with this load? At first I got scared seeing the next listing for a 210 grainer made of linotype which listed 22 as the max (not as much room from my 21 gr load) for only 10 gr heavier bullet, but if linotype is closer to bhn 22 that explains the lower load, correct?

I read recently in Handloader a reminder about harder alloys causing higher pressure and velocity, so to keep things safe you need a reduced load as your BHN goes up. Am I getting this right?

I was hoping to use slightly less expensive bullets and get a little less recoil for my 44 magnum "practice" load.
