I only shoot. 44 mag cases in my .44s, loaded from mild to wild, as appropriate.
Yup. The ability to load .44 mag cases from anemic 44 spl pressures up to full house magnum loads, including the area between heavy specials and light magnums, is reason enough IMHO to own one (or more) .44 mag revolver(s) and learn to reload.

The one thing that the more powerful rounds do get ya (aside from the increased noise, muzzle flash, and recoil) is power at distance. To take advantage of it ya need a scope.

The power of the 454 Casull and similar rounds enable it to do at 150-200 yards what the 44 Spl. and lower loads for the 45 Colt do at 50. They do give you, in a proper handgun some rifle like qualities. There is a price for that though.
