jfh, you have what appears to be a Lew Horton Special, Model 624-2 or -3 depending on source. There were 7000 units made, 1986-87. There was a holster accompanying it also. The value on that revolver goes down 10% if not accompanied by the holster. I bought mine new in 1986. It is stamped only as Mdl 624, no suffix. Yes, I've shot it several times. Shoots nice with standard pressure loads, snappy with higher pressure loads.
Open the cylinder and look at the serial number. It will have ALW prefix in the serial number if it is the Lew Horton Special. There will also be a stamped as to which model it is.
