I know that this has been asked before but run
out of places to look. Has anyone found any wood
grips that will fit the compact frame 445 455 tracker?

Thanks in advance

boxerdog, I've been intending to send Dennis some rubber Hogue grips that fit my 455 so he could make some just like it made out of wood, but just haven't done it yet. He makes excellent grips and very reasonable. He will make a wood copy of any grip you send him.

Boxerdog, when you mention "445", are you referring to the 5-shot .44Spec?

I am looking around for some grips for the 445 that "fill" my hand better, since the factory rubber-like grip are uncomfortable with warm loads.

thanks for help so far.I am looking for a set of wood grips
for the 445 snub 44 special. I found one used with the Hogue
grips on it but like wood grips. It is hard to believe no one ever made
a set for what Taurus calls its compact frame. I thought that I could
make a pair fit that I have but not even close.

Thanks

Try this link, it gives listings on wood and rubber.

Do a web search on the above link, punch in revolvers, then Taurus, look for 445 among the different sizes.

They offer wood and Hogues.

Yeah Nils Grif makes them in Germany IIRC, and you can order them for $150 paid in advance and then wait three months or so.

I did a search and can't find a website for you, but I have a 455 4" and couldn't find any wood grips but those, when I searched two years ago.

Hogue, my source for most all wood grips doesn't make a wood one, I do have the Hogue rubber grip on my gun, and its decent, better feel to me than the ribbers that came with it.
