45-70winchester 85 sighted it now

sighted in my Japanese high wall 85 short rifle for the same load that I shoot in my ruger #3. I was using imr 3031 and wanted to use the same powder I use in my # 3 if it shot(H-4198) with a hornadty 300 gr fp bullet, recovered bullet shot into dry loose dirt at 100 yards retained 231 grs and expanded to 3/4". first shot high right, second shot lower right after adjustment, the next three after adjustment with two in the same hole, shot at 100 yards from a good rest.

IMR4198 and IMR3031... you can't go wrong with either or in the .45-70...

Oh, wow. I think the design is awesome, and the fit and finish on the few that I have seen in person is superb. That looks like great fun to shoot.

Awesome rifle in a great caliber. You will enjoy years of shooting with it.

H322 has been great in my Miroku 1886 Carbine with Rem. 405gr SP's... and it still wears the OEM steel curved recoil "pad" as well. Lol
