Hello all, i've got a bit of a problem here. I have recently loaded about 1k .45 acp brass with Magnum primers (CCI 350) instead of the usual large pistol primer. i am aware that these primers can still function correctly and that some even prefer them, but the issue I'm having is find any load data using the following components.

230gr. FMJ round nose
CCI 350 primer
W-231 powder

This is my first time loading .45 acp and from what i gather, decent loads utilizing 230 grain bullets and win 231 range from 5.2-5.5 grains, but those fore mentioned all used large pistol rather than magnum primers.

Any load data or information regarding this situation will be much appreciated:D

Hodgdons load data show 5.3 gr WW231 as max for a 230 gr FMJ FP. Although those are quite similar to your bullet, the mag primer is going to up the pressure quite a bit.

I would recommend starting at Hodgdon minimum of 4.2 grains and stop at 5.0gr. If it is not abusive, you might try to sneak up on the 5.1gr o r 5.2gr carefully.
