I am new to reloading and I have some Berrys 200 grain plated FP bullets. I can't seem to find any information about the length after I reload it. Can anyone tell me or show me where to find out. My manual doesn't have this information as far as I know.

Thanks

I hardly load any plated bullets but an old timer told me to treat them as jacketed but "not quite as much" meaning that he would drop the powder load by a few tenths of a grain for a plated bullet but would go by the same shape bullet for the OAL.

What works best for me is to seat then so the case mouth is just below the start of the bullets taper as shown in the picture below. Don't need a numerical OAL to figure it out.

I think right off the top of my head my Rainer 200gr FP are seating at 1.220-1.225" I think that is correct (for mine) right off the top of my head.

I shot the Berry's 200 Gr TrFP's at 1.185 O.A.L. when I tried them. Seemed to work fine, although I did not fine tune the O.A.L. I switched to the Berry's 200 Gr HP.

The 0AL I use for the 200 gr is 1.23 for my full length Daly. Any longer than that & I start to have feeding problems.
