45 acp softball question

I have ordered some 230 grain lead 45 acp softball from Missouri bullet and I would like to hear from y'all about using unique with this bullet. Unique is the powder I prefer because I already have a lot of it. Any suggestions on this topic?

I run 5.2 - 5.6gr of Unique loaded to 1.250"
No problems cycling in any of my 45s.

5.5 Grs for "hardball".

You might have to seat a bit deeper than usual; just make sure the completed rounds pass the "plunk test" in your barrel. I load mine to 1.2375"

I always loaded LRN to 1.265-1.270, until I started loading the Softballs. I load those to 1.250-1.255". Definately shorter than most.

Mine is 5 grns of Bullseye to 1.252 and that works great in my guns. 830 FPS routinely.

A little warmer, but from 5" KKM G21:

230gr SoftBall, 6.4gr Unique @ 1.225" = 939 fps avg.
