.45 Bullseye load with 16 lb. spring

Thanks for all your Bullseye loads.

I forgot to think about my gunspring, however. It's a factory 16lb. Wolff spring.

What is the lightest load that functions with a stock spring using a 200 gr. SWC and Bullseye powder?

I've gone down to 2.8 gr of Bullseye and it ran fine with a standard spring.

Your gun may be different.

3.5 gr B.E. and a 200 gr SWC at 656 fps ran my old Pachmayr, which I think has a standard spring. 4.0 at 746 fps functioned my IDPA gun.

Are ya'll using standard primers in those loads?

I have CCI 300s.
