.450 marlin or .458 WM in mauser question

I would agree. Nothing about this project is cheap. Looks to be about $100 for 100 458 wm and about $120 for 416. When ur spending close to 2k for the gun minus anything else, $20 is about as significant as a penny. Im more interested in the availability of heads if i decide to use something other than cast bullets in her. Even the moulds will be more plentiful for the .458. If something isnt glaringly better i might just stay w my first idea of the .458.... unless the .375 h an h enters the equation?? Hahah
 
I am with you on the practical. Other than my Swede, all my guns are 'practical' in terms of ammo availability.

I don't think that the WM will disappoint you: unless your last name happens to be 'Lott' LOL!
