.45ACP brass issues

am I going to be wearing out the thicker walled stuff faster because I'm pushing the brass in farther
I have no idea, but probably.

But brass life would be the least of my concerns.

Loose neck tension and bullet set-back during feeding can blow up a gun.

A cracked case neck after you resize it 10 times, not so much.

I don't know what Lee thinks about it, or what they would do.

Loading mixed HS brass.

I know lots of folks here will disagree with me.
But your opening sentence is the key.

I don't mix headstamps so I avoid these issues.

For example, I have a box of Hornady nickel coated brass.
They're about .020" shorter than the rest of my brass.
I found it on the very first one, because it didn't bell the case.
But that also meant I had to change the seating & crimp dies as well.

It would've been a big pain in the butt had they been mixed!

Just my 2¢

My life has been a lot simpler since I moved to using Dillon sizing dies for my handgun rounds.

Just sayin'...... :)
