Looking to load Missouri Bullet’s cast for 45ACP for general shooting between 200 - 225 gr.
I like the MBC Hi Tek coating. Works great in revolvers and lever guns.
Noticed several options between 200-225 gr designs, I don’t know much about semi autos with lead.
Questions:
TC, SWC, RN or RNFP? Do any of the designs have known cycle problems?
Any certain design that is just awesome?
Any certain design that is troubled?
Mostly shooting out of a SS full sized Kimber at bowling pin shoots.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks all.

If your Kimber will reliably feed SWC profile bullets (All the Kimber 1911s I have shot did), I would recommend the 12 BHN 200 gr SWC (Bullseye #1 Grooveless) - https://missouribullet.com/details.php?prodId=414&category=5&secondary=13

200 gr SWC has similar bullet base length as 230 gr RN (For better neck tension) with non-contact points removed to reduce weight down to 200 gr. And with softer 12 BHN alloy, bullet base will deform/bump out readily even with lighter target powder charges to seal with the barrel, even in oversized barrels. I use 4.8 gr of W231/HP-38 and 4.0 gr of Red Dot/Promo in my Sig 1911 and they reliably cycle the slide with 16 lb recoil spring.

Brad produced the 200 gr RNFP for those that had trouble reliably feeding SWC bullets - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...bc-200gr-rnfp-xd-4-45acp.545996/#post-6779033

And 225 gr TC for those that wanted larger nose area with heavier bullet weight - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/bullet-naming-contest-winners.544326/

Of course, 230 gr RN will reliably feed in all pistols.

The 225 TCFP has been very reliable and accurate for me in a variety of 1911 brands.

I shoot the MBC BE #2 (185gr LSWC) as my first choice, the BE#1 (200gr) is my second choice. The 200 gr is a little more accurate at 50 yrds, that I seldom shoot anymore due to aging eyes. Both are loaded with 4.1gr WST.

I use MBC 200gr. RFP in both 45 ACP and 45 Colt (LC). I have used a few K of 230gr. RN but really like the 200gr. RNFP just as well and the flat point is good in tube magazies. I have used lubed as well as Hi-Tec coated, not much difference in shooting but in loading the lubed ones are just a little messy.

They have most .45 bullets in both BHN 12 and BHN 18. My pistols preferred the softer BHN12 ones.
If you gun will feed SWCs they cut cleaner holes, if not round nose time.
I liked the 200 SWCs and 230 RNs when I was loading lead/coated lead.
Worth the little extra cost to get the coated IMO.

I ordered some 200 Gr Coated SWC # 12 BHN from MBC on June 2nd ( that is when the Credit Card was billed) , and will receive them tomorrow the 23 rd or 24th. I am satisfied with the delivery time because of all that is going on. I was developing loads with Win 231--- Titegroup---and even Trail boss ( to use it up ). That is why I put off ordering the bullets. I have a few left, so the new box will be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way , they will be used in my Remington 1911 Carry . I have had NO trouble with feeding these SWC bullets, as others have stated. I like the nice clean holes on the target.

I was notified today that my order is shipping! I put it in on June 18th. 200 SWC, 185 SWC, and 185 button nose. All Hi-Tek.
