Now that I've got broadband, how about another picture thread? This time, I want to hear from all of my fellow .45ACP revolver lovers. Let's see your 625s, your M1917s, your 325PDs, your Taurus Stellar Trackers, etc.! Anybody have a SAA clone in .45ACP?

I'll start.

Hello.

NewSWM625rock1.jpg
This is my only .45 ACP revolver, but still one I enjoy quite a lot. I reload and almost always use auto rim now days.

Best.

I'm sorry, I lack the skills necessary to provide quality photos like those above!

I am not much for pictures but I like the 45acp revolvers. So much I bought 3 of them. A 25-2 pinned gun, 625 mountain gun and a 4inch 625. I keep on the search for these guns and will aquire more.

Once again - lots of great stuff being posted. Love the Mountain gun Joe.

My (currently) lonely 625-3

I see I'm not the only fan of the 5" barreled model.

I really want to try out the 2.5" 325PD.

Hey, anybody got that 2" 625-10? I handled one of those the other day, it was a pretty cool pug!

I wish S&W would make a 5-shot L-Frame in .45ACP, with a 2.5" barrel and fixed sights. Then, they should make a 3" 625 as a standard production model. 3" N-Frames just look right.

Webly No. 1 Mark VI call .455 cut to .45ACP in WWII

Dated 1917 all matching. I love the way this shoots and looks. It's more comfortable than a 1911.

David,

The 25-12's are post '98, and have the standard revisions such as the internal firing pin. While I don't like these newer features, the Performance Center hand built this model and the quality is outstanding. I view these as being the last of the nice pre-lock Smith & Wesson revolvers.

The trigger is solid, unlike the current hollow MIM's, and features a trigger stop. I prefer the comfortable round butt over the square butt 22-4. Mine wears a Hogue Bantam grip, so that the laynard ring can be used.

There were only 350 made. 150 in polished blue, 100 in matte blue, and 100 with color-cased frame.

Nice Sights

KurtC,

What are those sights on your S&W .45 ACP Revolver? The front looks like the BigDot tritium from Ashley Outdoors (24/7 or whatever) but the fixed rear I've never seen before.

Captain38,

The front sight is the XS Standard Dot, as the Big Dot will obscure too much of the target.

The rear sight is the C&S Extreme Duty sight.

The XS front sight is available in different heights, so if you are using a fixed rear you will have to figure out which one you need for the load you are using.
