I have been using IMR 4350 to load 350 and 500 Grain bullets for my 460 but can not find any right now, but I did find some IMR 4320 but the load data I checked shows a lot more pressure for about the same speed. I guess that is because of a different burn rate, but is there any negative affects to the increased pressure like case life or wear on the rifle? I am probably going to use it since I can not get anything else right now but thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks

It's certainly possible if you push the envelope with this powder.

IMR4320 is faster burning and can spike pressures quicker. I recommend using the lighter bullets and avoid the 500gr.
What load range were you thinking using IMR4320?

cpo223,
I don't have access to any of my manuals right now, and none of the online sites show IMR4320 used with the 500gr bullet.
All I found was a 350gr Barnes with IMR4320 using a starting load of 106gr.

If your manual shows 95gr of 4320 as a starting load, then I guess it should be safe.
You really should use a slower powder with the 500gr.

Thanks for the help, I have some 350 gr. bullets I can use for now to be safe.

Wish I lived close to you--I've got a few pounds of IMR 4350 that I would gladly trade you for some IMR 4320, which I can't get.
