Does anyone have any experience with the new 5.11 Tactical Professional Polo?

I'm looking at getting new shirts for my section (our uniforms are khaki/blue pants and polo shirts) and have been looking at all the different brands.

Right now we have some cheap Port Authority polo shirts that have faded horribly in the past nine months.

So what are your experiences with these shirts? Do they hold up as they advertise against fading and the the curled collar?

thanks

Look a little harder. Royal Robins is not the be all end all of clothing. In fact their quality was better when they were just a climbing and outdoor clothing line instead of "Tactical"

Just bought one recently, but haven't had a chance to wear it yet. Don't know about the fading since I've only washed it once (seems to be the same shade as before washing) but the collar thing is for real. It has a strange type of stitching or finishing along the outer edge (looks kinda cool and blends in well) and collar stays inside the front edges. Material is heavier than that of most polos also.

I don't know what line of work you're in, but Galls also has some semi-custom polo shirts available with professional embroidery if you wish.

Why not try to contact the Royal Robbin 5.11 company directly?

I think some uniform companies may send your department a "no charge" T&E shirt sample so you can determine if the shirt fits your department's needs.

:D :what: :D
