Got a round in the chamber and it’s LOCKED in battery.
Won’t fire and can’t unload, help!:what:

reload?

If it's a fiveseven pistol, and assuming you are not omitting some critical piece of info... It could've split a case at the neck and chambered a subsequent round.

REMOVE the magazine! I hate dependence on any mechanical safety, but the situation has us in a bit of a bind here. I would Engage the gun's additional mechanical safety above the trigger.

Obtain a .22 cleaning rod, long enough for the barrel. Insert the rod until the rod will go no further. DO NOT force the rod any further, simply insert it until there is an obstruction and stop. Mark the cleaning rod; either with tape, pen, pencil or laser. Remove the cleaning rod, and hold the mark even with the end of the barrel. With the rod right next to the slide, you should be able to put the rod end to end with a live 5.7 shell and that combined length should have the rim just barely outside the barrel length. If not, you have an obstruction in the barrel that could've caused this issue - or not caused it but is still a problem.

If the rod + live shell is the same length as the barrel, then the chambered round is probably the issue in and of itself.

I would not try this at home, or, anywhere else I wouldn't want a round to go off -- that's a BIG HINT.

In fact, I would only consider this with eye and ear protection, earthen backstop or a snail trap, plus a vice or ransom rest.

Secure the gun with a ransom rest or vice. Eye & Ear up. Verify there is NOTHING in front of the muzzle but backstop.

Take a gunsmith brass / plastic tipped hammer and tap the front of the slide without putting anything in front of the barrel. Use the plastic side of the hammer and for the love of Christ, don't smack it like you're trying to seat a nail. Tap gently with only slight increases in force to free up the slide, nothing more. Don't use a claw or ballpean hammer from the shed

If unable to free it by these means, you need a gunsmith. You need a gunsmith anyway if don't have the tools available or are the least bit uncomfortable with even moderate skill firearms part replacement, etc.

Observe all gun safety rules, at all times. Your mileage may vary, etc.

You could also use a vise (carefully) with the same precautions about where the bullet will go if it should fire.

Spread the jaws to just slightly wider than the barrel. Cushion them (or the front of the slide) with tape or the like and press the muzzle against the jaws. The barrel will be clear between the jaws and your safe backstop directly in line behind.

Press the muzzle hard to see if it comes loose. If not, press and then hit the back of the grip with suitable striking instrument. This should pop it free.

If it doesn't, I'd recommend the Gunsmith Bailout. Good luck!

If your pistol is a newer version take a look at the spiffy new safety thingy on the right side of the frame and see if it is in the on safe position.
If it is, this not only prevents the gun from firing, it locks the slide too.
