www.midwayusa.com is as good as any, I think. But you may want to give some serious consideration to reloading.

It sure wouldn't take long to amortize the cost of equipment if you're shooting the Big .500.

I think Natchezz has some Ultramax loads or something like that for only $1.50 a shot:neener: . Really if you want to shoot the big boy it's time to start reloading. You can buy a reloading kit and a set of 500 dies for just a little over three boxes of Corbon 500S&W. I just started reloading and just the savings on reloading my .454 casull will pay for itself relatively shortly. Except for the fact that I'm starting to shoot more of it now:D .

You got that right, I don't save money, I just get to shoot more. :D

Good grief!:what: A 700gr freakin' slug at 1200fps! That's just nuts. Everybody says a 500S&W doesn't have that much kick, I bet that load does:D . Kinda suprised the ME factor isn't higher, I mean that's 240gr 44mag velocities using a 700gr bullet.

They are a blast to shoot, I have been reloading them for a while. :D

I second the suggestion to start reloading. I actually began reloading myself after buying my s&w 500 and a 10mm a few days later. It is really the only way to go.

The cheapest place to get .500 ammo is from your reloader. It does require an upfront expense for tools, brass, bullets, primers, powder, etc. Then you can tailor the loads to your desires. There are loads with cast bullets at 1000 fps that are real pussycats: very mild and very accurate. Good everyday loads. For hunting you can load up to mid range and have extremely effective loads with reasonable recoil. I only occasionally play with full power loads.
They are a lot more than I usually need.
