I've searched and searched and can't seem to really find much data on rifle loading of the 500. I came across a good deal on a TC Encore Pro Hunter Katahdin and want to load up some accurate deer slaying loads. The few factory ammo choices I've been able to snag so far, leave a bit to be desired. The Hornady 300gr FTX are decent and the Magtech 325gr were not accurate. I know someone, somewhere has some good info on 20" barrel data for this cartridge. My reloading experience has been limited to my Dillon 750 and .40 for shooting USPSA Limited division. I do have a Lee Turret I plan to use for the 500 and other hunting calibers down the road. (357 & 44)

If you can't find rifle specific data simply use good published revolver data and select the loads that utilize the slower burning powders as these will realize bigger velocity gains in the longer barrel of the rifle than the fast powders will.

Hodgdon's online reloading database (https://www.hodgdonreloading.com/) has a lot of good S&W data. H110/W296 and Lil'gun works well in carbine/rifle length barrels in my experience and would likely be good choices to start with in that 500 S&W rifle.

The CFEblk seems to have quite the following for rifle stuff. I read it was "made" for 300blk, but seems more versatile. They also list magnum LR primers... Would the slower burn rate of the CFEblk work with non magnum LR primers?
