I acquired this gun from some one on this sight (can this be repaired?)
It has been an on going fun project.
Repaired pins, closed cylinder gap, shimmed arbor and adjusted wedge.
The bolt was dropping too early due to short or damaged spring end, fit a new bolt (ain't just a drop in part}.
I ordered 2 bolts one Pietta one Uberti, the Uberti was a 2x better part even though the gun is a Pietta.
I was advised by 45 Dragoon to add a hammer stop a bolt block and lighten the main spring.
Just finished last night, but have been shooting it between project steps.
This thing is "right on", even Wild Bill Hickok would like it!

Well done, it is refreshing to see a Pietta 1851 Navy in the proper .36 Cal. I have an old "Rebel" or "Yank" in .44 cal. the arbour wobbles around so I am thinking of TIG welding it in place.
